LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR FAITH COMMUNITY
We aim to bring Christ to our community, revealing His love and grace in word and deed. We hope you’ll join us as we desire to represent Jesus Christ to the lost and broken world.
Join us for heartfelt worship, godly fellowship and a refreshing look into God’s Word. UE Church is committed to coming alongside families in a way that helps and strengthens them in the knowledge of the Lord.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
– Hebrews 10:24-25 (English Standard Version)
Our youth ministry at UEC focuses on various components of teaching and fellowship. The age group that represents this group finds themselves in the bracket between the Sunday school and the young adults (approx. 11-15 years old). Our goal is nevertheless focused steering this group to:
Know God in a more profound and biblical way.
Our youth meeting is currently undergoing an exciting shift of vision and will be updated with new information in due time.
We desire for children to encounter God by teaching biblical truths in applicable and creative ways. Scripture tells us to:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6 NKJV)
Since we know that children are at such a receptive age to learn and secure lifelong habits, our Children’s Ministry team is dedicated to introducing your children to the Lord Jesus Christ and teaching God’s Word with clarity, love and truth. Our prayer and hope is that by God’s grace, your young ones will have a solid understanding of the One who created them and died for their sins. Our classes meet every Sunday during the Arabic service, all being held in the fellowship house beside the church.
Our classes are separated in three groups (3-5 years), (6-8 years), and (9-12 years). Though each class is following the same curriculum, every section is taught the material that suits their specific age group.
Our purpose for the UEC Women’s Ministry is to fulfill sound biblical directives as best we can by encouraging and equipping women to be everything God has called them to be. We do this through special events, mentoring relationships, opportunities for service, times of learning and fellowship, spiritual formation, and programs that reach out beyond our walls.
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” (Titus 2:3-5)
The UEC worship teams’ mission is to lead others to glorifying God in song. Being guided by the Holy Spirit and the word of God, the continuous goal is to give God the glory, honor and praise He deserves.
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”. (John 4:24)
Two UEC worship teams serve the Arabic and English congregations during the various church services and outreach ministries.
And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord”. (Psalm 40:3)
Mission: To obey the command found in 1 John 3:18-
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
The Living Truth (TLT) ministry is primarily concerned with spreading the gospel and love of Jesus Christ through street preaching, ministering to the homeless, and service to the elderly among other things. Revival is one of the driving aspects of every facet of the church’s ministry, and focus on prayer for the city of Chicago is inevitable. Though Jesus healed and served the masses, He also called the same masses to repentance. So, while helping the poor and dejected is essential, salvation of the lost is the main purpose of the TLT ministry.
