LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR FAITH COMMUNITY
We aim to bring Christ to our community, revealing His love and grace in word and deed. We hope you’ll join us as we desire to represent Jesus Christ to the lost and broken world.
Join us for heartfelt worship, godly fellowship and a refreshing look into God’s Word. UE Church is committed to coming alongside families in a way that helps and strengthens them in the knowledge of the Lord.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
– Hebrews 10:24-25 (English Standard Version)
Agape is the English-based ministry of UEC that focuses on various components of teaching, outreach and fellowship. We are a community of people that represent different cultures and age groups with one thing in common:
Desiring to know God in a more profound and biblical way.
With various meetings throughout the week, this community has quickly become a family. We would love for you to be a part of what God is doing here.
We desires for children to encounter God by teaching biblical truths in applicable and creative ways. Scripture tells us to:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6 NKJV)
Since we know that children are at such a receptive age to learn and secure lifelong habits, our Children’s Ministry team is dedicated to introducing your children to the Lord Jesus Christ and teaching God’s Word with clarity, love and truth. Our prayer and hope is that by God’s grace, your young ones will have a solid understanding of the One who created them and died for their sins. Our classes meet every Sunday right after the morning worship either upstairs in the church house or in the church basement. We look forward to seeing and equipping your children weekly.
Our purpose for the UEC Women’s Ministry is to fulfill sound biblical directives as best we can by encouraging and equipping women to be everything God has called them to be. We do this through special events, mentoring relationships, opportunities for service, times of learning and fellowship, spiritual formation, and programs that reach out beyond our walls.
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” (Titus 2:3-5)
The UEC worship teams’ mission is to lead others to glorifying God in song. Being guided by the Holy Spirit and the word of God, the continuous goal is to give God the glory, honor and praise He deserves.
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”. (John 4:24)
Two UEC worship teams serve the Arabic and English congregations during the various church services and outreach ministries.
And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord”. (Psalm 40:3)
Mission: To obey the command found in 1 John 3:18-
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
The Living Truth (TLT) ministry is primarily concerned with spreading the gospel and love of Jesus Christ through street preaching, ministering to the homeless, and service to the elderly among other things. Revival is one of the driving aspects of every facet of the church’s ministry, and focus on prayer for the city of Chicago is inevitable. Though Jesus healed and served the masses, He also called the same masses to repentance. So, while helping the poor and dejected is essential, salvation of the lost is the main purpose of the TLT ministry.
Mission: to equip the body of Christ with the knowledge and wisdom necessary to give a defense for the hope that we have in Christ according to (1 Peter 3:15).
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,
The UE Apologetics Ministry is a team of committed Christ followers who have devoted their time to studying God’s Word as well as other texts and sources, both religious and secular, for the sake of revealing the uniqueness of Christianity among other worldviews (atheism, Islam, etc.). Knowledge of this uniqueness will then be shared with the congregation so that all members of the church can utilize it when evangelizing.
The Visitation Ministry is committed to serve by becoming a spiritual lifeline to home residents on a semi-weekly and/or monthly basis. Members of the ministry share the gospel and the love of Christ through the Word, music, prayer as well as providing fellowship among those who are unable to attend regular Sunday services at their local church or in need of encouragement.
For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’
We are on a mission to help and equip the church to reach the world. We strive to provide the various church ministries with whatever is needed to pursue the vision.
